Great Start for Monte-Pulciano!

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

Monte opened up with a bang! Only minutes after being opened for a new round players started registering by the dozens. Day by day more joined before we were getting 30-40 players playing per day. Bullet Factories spread to players within a matter of hours. Players were in awe trying out all the new features such as the 2 new casinos, war and blackjack, the new friends page, and just recently player missions. Crew have been created and players applied. Heated debate grew among the players and many were killed. Overall, players seem to be ranking up and gaining money, taking off just were they left last round, trying to become the best. This looks like another great round filled with new updates and more players.

Mafia Game Resets

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Why Reset?

Mafia game resets are done for several reasons. One reason for a reset is because the game is ready to have a major update installed and would work best if everyone started over. Many times, a reset will bring more players to the game and previous players that quit to see what’s new. Some players compain about resets, which is fair enough, but most players think it’s good to have one every few months. Monte-Pulciano.net expects to perform a reset about every 4 to 5 months. Resets also help clear the database so the game runs a little faster.

Reset Information for June 23, 2008

Over the past several months we have had many changes including:

- New Design with many improvements

This reset was intended to give everyone a fresh start, and allow us some time to change everything over to new hosting company. There has been a few changes, with more to come, but mostly we needed to re-engergize Monte-Pulciano.net.

Mafia Free For All - June 22, 2008

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

The event started out strong, with over 1100 users alive. Entertainment was provided with cash and bullet prizes that got bigger and bigger from 10,000 to 1,000,000 bullets for the winners. Some of the big winners were unit2, petergriffin, gold, ogrethunk, and sinuous. After awhile, all players were rewarded bullets and cash, not just the game winners. Total game money grew to over $1,000,000,000,000,000.

Casinos were tossed around, players winning and losing billions of dollars at a time. Crime scenes showed rewards of unbelievable amounts. Chaos was in full force as the searches continued.

Gold, aka Monk (retired), was on and made it quite a ways before Petergriffin got the best of him at his going away party. Gold literally only had 1 more minute before he was about to take out Unit2 and Petergriffin. Soon after, mass killing was brought on by Petergriffin and Unit2 as less players were online to stop them. Petergriffin and Unit2 were both bodyguards for Ogrethunk, so it was looking as if Ogrethunk had everything made to win the free for all. As time went on, the number of players that could be searched increased from 10 to 20 to 30 to 50 and finally 100 players per hour. The confidence of Petergriffin and Unit2 held strong as they figured they would wipe the rest of the players. Logging out before taking care of business was a mistake.

Many players were now short on bullets so the time had come to give out unlimited bullets. Ogrethunk was obliterating everyone left. A player went on a rampage and finally took out Unit2, and then Petergriffin. All along, Ogrethunk didn’t even have this player on search, and he met his demise shortly after. This killer who had a previous account killed by Ogrethunk, now got his revenge! This player continued to kill until overwhelmed with tiredness. As more and more players logged on, at the same time they started dropping by the dozens. Another vicious killer named wouter set his sights on the championship, taking out 100 players in meticulous order. Then themajic soon found the last serial killer on his personal hitlist, but wouter gave in before set bullets blazing through his flesh.

500 players left and falling fast, as the darkness of the night arose to a new day.

400, 300, 200, 50 players left… only one player actively killing the rest. Then another player logged in, but soon got wipped out. 25, 10, 5 …. and finally, the last player alive made his final kill. The reign of Monte-Pulciano was left to the control of one player, thedj. Congratulations!
